Farrar, Kenneth, W., Sr., 90, of Pinehurst Road, Riverside, died peacefully on May 2, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Eilene F. (Hathaway) Farrar.

A lifelong resident of Riverside, he was the son of the late Warren Farrar and Bertha (Whipple) Oliver.

Mr. Farrar was a Marine Terminal Operator for Arco Oil Co. for 30 years before retiring in 1985.

Kenneth was a member of the Riverside American Legion Post #10 and the Swansea Country Club. He enjoyed golfing and spending time with his loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mr. Farrar was a United States Navy Veteran serving during World War II where he was a recipient of several medals including the Purple Heart.

Besides his wife of 65 years, he is survived by his son, Kenneth W. Farrar Jr. and his wife Carol of West Greenwich; two daughters, Kathy J. Parenteau and her husband Roger of West Warwick and Lori A. Fernandes and Stephen Ricci of Riverside; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Albert, Charles and Robert Farrar.

His funeral service will be held on Friday May 8, 2015 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 12 noon. Calling hours are Thursday 4-7 p.m.
