Kevin Leo Callahan “Cal”, 66, passed away on Friday, August 6, 2021. Born in Providence, a son of the late Francis and Lenore (McGuy) Callahan, he was a homeowner in Barrington for over 30 years until moving back to his hometown of Pawtucket over 10 years ago.

Kevin graduated from Tolman High School in 1974 and attended Rhode Island Junior College. He was a 25-year veteran of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 57.

A beloved New England Patriots fan, Kevin was a season ticket holder for the last 47 years. He was able to watch the Patriots win all 6 of their Super Bowls while getting the chance to attend 3 of them in-person.

Recently, Kevin was able to accomplish his lifelong dream of traveling the entire seacoast of Ireland.

Kevin is survived by his only son, Ryan F. Callahan and daughter-in-law, Ashley L. Callahan; his beloved grandsons, Beau B. Callahan and Bale R. Callahan; a brother, Paul F. Callahan and his companion, Catherine Adamowicz.

Calling hours will be held on Friday August 13, 2021 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside from 8:30 a.m.-10 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Angels Church, Maple Avenue, Barrington at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

  2. I was so sad to hear the news of Cal’s passing. He was a very good friend to me in high school. A great listener! I have bumped into him a few times in these past years and our conversations never skipped a beat! Such a wonderful person.
