Oakland, Lawrence A. Jr., 96, of “Harborview” 3663 Pawtucket Avenue, Riverside, died peacefully on January 13, 2020.

Born in Rumford, a son of the late Lawrence A. Oakland Sr. and Mira (Thompson) Oakland, he lived in Riverside, Rumford and Woonsocket.

Mr. Oakland worked at the North Smithfield School Department and the Tupperware Company.

Lawrence was a member of the Riverside Bishop Hickey Knights of Columbus.

Mr. Oakland was a Veteran of the Rhode Island Air National Guard.

He is survived by two sons, Lawrence A. Oakland III of Westfield, MA and Christopher Oakland of Woonsocket; a brother, Richard Oakland of Bristol and four grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Margaret, Jack, Joseph and Gene Oakland Sr.

A Memorial Service will be held in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside on a date and time to be announced.
