Charpentier, Leona, M., 75, formerly of Kirby Street, Barrington, died peacefully on January 10, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Richard A. Charpentier.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Frederick and Alma (Robitaille) Daigle, she lived in Barrington for 50 years.

Mrs. Charpentier was a court stenographer in the Rhode Island Superior Court for 28 years before retiring in 2001.

Leona was a former member of the Riverside American Legion Post #10 Woman’s Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing cards and bowling.

She is survived by three daughters, Lorraine L. Dellafratte of Barrington, Donna L. Kaplan of Warwick and Stacey A. Canfield of Pawtucket; two sons, Richard A. Charpentier Jr. of Exeter and Keith A. Charpentier of Bayport, Long Island, NY; ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be held on Thursday January 14, 2016 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 12 noon. Burial will follow in the Forest Chapel Cemetery, Nayatt Road, Barrington.
