Sweeney, Lillian Eunice (Palmer), 76, of Shore Road, Riverside, died peacefully on February 11, 2024 at the St. Antoine Residence, North Smithfield, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Michael W. Sweeney.

Born in Central Falls, RI, a daughter of the late Robert and Lucy (Brennan) Palmer, she lived in Riverside for 37 years.

Mrs. Sweeney was a production clerk at the former Nyman Manufacturing Company, Rumford for many years. She also was a chamber made at Motel 6 in Seekonk, MA for many years.

Lillian enjoyed needle pointing and painting.

Besides her husband of 37 years, she is survived by three brothers, Michael Palmer of Rumford, Leo Palmer of Knoxville, TN and James Palmer of North Carolina and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Robert Palmer Jr. and Mary E. Ledoux.

Her funeral service will be held on Friday February 16, 2024 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Norte Dame Cemetery, Dagget Avenue, Pawtucket.

Calling Hours are Friday morning 9 a.m. -10:30 a.m. Flowers are respectfully omitted. Contributions in Lillian’s memory to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904 would be deeply appreciated.

Aunt Lil,Lydia and I will miss you so much.I enjoyed taking you on exciting road trips to Graceland, pigeon forge, and surrounding flea markets when you came to visit.we know you are now in heaven and enjoying it and will see you soon till then rest in peace, we Love and will miss you always Patrick and Lydia Palmer.
