Lillian Mae (Case) Cost, 87, of Adams Avenue, Barrington, died peacefully on June 7, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Robert L. Cost.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Leslie and Lillian (Murdock) Case, she lived in Barrington for 67 years.

Mrs. Cost was a member of the Barrington United Methodist Church and former Cub Scout Leader for the Barrington Boy Scouts where she received the Silver Beaver Award. She built two floats for the Bristol Fourth of July Parade and was also a member of the Barrington Village Club.

Lillian enjoyed reading, sewing, quilting and organizing civic events. She also volunteered performing Nany Services.

She is survived by two sons, William R. Cost and his wife Mary Elizabeth of Barrington and Joseph T. Cost of East Providence and two grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Leslie, Robert and Wilberta Case.

Her Funeral will be held on Wednesday June 11, 2025 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service in the Barrington United Methodist Church, 230 Washington Road, Barrington at 11 a.m.

Calling hours are Tuesday 4-7 p.m. Flowers are respectfully omitted. Contributions in Lillian’s memory to the Barrington United Methodist Church, 230 Washington Road, Barrington, 02806 would be deeply appreciated.

  1. My condolences to the Cost family. I remember hearing how proud Lillian was of her years as a scout leader and how much she enjoyed sailing. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

  3. As a new member of this family, Lillian welcomed me with open arms and heart. I found her to be incredibly warm and wonderful. I greatly appreciate the short time I have had in her presence, and miss her dearly. She will never be forgotten.
