Lavery, Linda, S., 58, of Lyon Avenue, died unexpectedly on December 22, 2015 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of Richard A. Lavery.

Born in Mountain Home, Idaho, a daughter of the late Raymond and Bernice (Dirsa) McGarey, she lived in East Providence for 41 years.

Linda enjoyed listening to music, gardening, fishing, playing cards and spending time with her loving family.

She is survived by her beloved children, Samantha Hernandez of Riverside, John J. Machado and his wife Tara of Riverside, Richard A. Lavery and his fianc Christina E. Stanley of Riverside, Kerrianne Lavery-Gilles and her husband Aaron of Germany and Kaitlin E. Lavery of East Providence; seven grandchildren, Alexander Hernandez, Nathaniel Hernandez, Lily Machado, Genevieve Machado, Miles J. Lavery, Sophia Gilles and Owen Gilles; a brother, Michael McGarey of Texas; two sisters, Karen Remond of East Providence and Annie Swaney of Texas and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of her Life will be held in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside on Sunday morning January 3, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. A bereavement reception will follow in the Riverside Sportsmen Club, 1 Mohawk Drive, Riverside at 1 p.m.
