Guay, Lorraine, K., 79, of Riverside Drive, Riverside Terrace, died unexpectedly on July 15, 2012. She was the beloved wife of Edward J. Guay.

A lifelong resident of Riverside, she was the daughter of the late Caleb and Margaret (Goulding) Pemberton.

Mrs. Guay is a graduate of Bay View Academy Class of 1950. She previously was a model for the Coca-Cola Co., Providence. She then enrolled in the State of Rhode Island School of Practical Nursing to become a LPN.

Lorraine enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading, traveling, solving crossword puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren.

Besides her husband of 57 years, she is survived by two sons; Joseph E. Guay of Barrington and David F. Guay of Riverside, four daughters; Marie A. Olivieri of Rumford, Diane L. Johnson of Riverside, Donna J. Daft of Riverside and Sherry L. McGloin of Scituate, ten grandchildren , four great grandchildren and six nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Audrey Ryan, Robert and Richard Pemberton.

Her funeral will be held on Friday July 20, 2012 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 10 am. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
