Chianese, Louis A., 91, of Cedar Avenue, Riverside, died peacefully on January 8, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Joan E. (Brandt) Chianese.

Born in Barrington, a son of the late Angelo and Mary L. (DeChristofaro) Chianese, he lived in Riverside for 64 years.

Mr. Chianese was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.

Louis enjoyed bike riding, exercising at the gym, cooking, meeting with his friends for a cup of coffee and spending time with his loving grandchildren.

Besides his wife of 64 years, he is survived by two sons, Robert Chianese of Warwick and John Chianese of Riverside; a daughter, Linda Chianese of Bristol; a brother, Anthony Chianese of Coventry; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was the father of the late Joanne M. Markarian and brother of the late Jennie DeFusco, Carmella Trotter and Frank Chianesi.

His funeral will be held on Thursday January 16, 2020 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 9 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 11 a.m. Calling hours are Thursday morning 9-10 a.m. A private family only burial will be held in Forest Chapel Cemetery, Nayatt Road, Barrington.

  15. Joan, I am saddened by Louie’s passing but I know he is at peace and rests with Joanne in his loving arms. He was such a good man, a good husband who loved you unconditionally, as well as all his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and was loved in return by all of you. He had a long, happy life with you, all his family, and his many friends, You will keep him in your heart and the happy memories you shared will over shadow the grief you now feel. Know that I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.
