Carter, M. Louise, of Winsor Drive, died peacefully on August 16, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Frank A. Carter Jr.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Peter J. and Mary (Cardone) Picerelli, she lived in Barrington for 32 years.

Mrs. Carter was a music teacher for the Barrington School Department from 1944-1950. She was a dedicated music supervisor, composer and conductor.

Louise was a communicant of St. Luke Church. She was a member of the ASCAP, R.I. Band Masters Assoc., The In & About Boston Music Club and the University of New Hampshire Folk Club. She was past President of the Lincoln Republican Women’s Club. She also was a public school music supervisor in the New Hampshire and Maine school systems.

She is survived by a daughter; Marjorie Carter of Sheridan, WY, a son; Frank A. Carter III of Pawtucket and a sister; Catherine Picerelli of Riverside. She was the sister of the late Anthony D. Picerelli and Peter J. Picerelli Jr.

Her funeral will be held on Monday August 22, 2011 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Luke Church, Washington Road, Barrington at 10 am. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Calling hours are Sunday 3-5 pm.
