Cauley, Margaret, E., ‘Betty’, 86, of Ocean Avenue, died unexpectedly on May 5, 2011. She was the beloved wife of William M. Cauley Jr.

Born in Providence a daughter of the late John and Margaret (Moylan) Thorpe, she lived in Barrington for 24 years and South Attleboro for 45 years.

Margaret was a communicant of St. Luke Church and a member of its Young at Heart Club. She was a member of the Barrington Women’s Club where she enjoyed playing bridge.

Besides her husband of 65 years, she is survived by her eight children; Robert W. Cauley, Karen M. Garlick and William J. Cauley, all of Attleboro, MA, Anne E. Cauley of Barrington, Eileen M. Fantasia of Seekonk, MA, James P. Cauley of Pawtucket, Stephen J. Cauley of Plainville, MA and Jane F. Walsh of Cranston, two sisters; Helen Bedard of Little Compton and Sr. Claire Thorpe, R.S.M. of Cumberland, eighteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Ronald W. Cauley.

Her funeral will be held on Monday May 9, 2011 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Luke Church, Washington Road, Barrington at 10 am. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday 4-7 pm. Flowers are respectfully omitted.
