Kennedy, Margaret L. (Kelly), 81, of Thurston Street, Riverside, died peacefully on September 23, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of John D. Kennedy.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late John and Lillian (Julius) Kelly, she lived in Riverside for 56 years.

Mrs. Kennedy worked as a quality controller for the former Trifari Jewelry Company for 25 years before retiring in 2002.

Margaret was a communicant of St. Brendan Church where she coordinated the church bingo. She was a member of the Seekonk Happy Couples Bowling League and enjoyed spending time with her loving family.

Besides her husband of sixty one years, she is survived by her children, Cheryl L. Mello and her husband Ted of East Providence, Steven P. Kennedy and his wife Cheryl of Winter Haven, FL, Colleen M. Gravel and her husband Bob of East Providence and Susan J. Kennedy of Riverside; eight grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Darlene Coutts and John W. Kelly Sr.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday September 27, 2021 in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted. Contributions in Margaret’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105-9959 would be deeply appreciated.

  18. Their are not enough words to express the tremendous impact Marge had on our family, nor her seemingly unlimited capacity for loving her family.
