Dooriss, Margaret M., 66, of Bullocks Point Avenue, Riverside, died peacefully on October 11, 2021 at the Hope Health Hospice & Palliative Care Center surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late James and Margaret (Quinn) Dooriss, she was a lifelong resident of Riverside.
Ms. Dooriss was a clerk in the accounts payable department at the Bank of Rhode Island for the past 8 years.
Margaret was a communicant of St. Brendan Church. She was a devoted Boston Red Sox fan. She enjoyed riding Harley Davidsons and spending time with her loving family.
She is survived by a son, Mario Escalera Jr. and his wife Faith of Riverside; two granddaughters, Jordyn and London Escalera; a brother, Michael Dooriss and his wife Meride of Fl.; a sister, Patricia Hughes of Warwick and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Susan Carello, Kevin and Timothy Dooriss.
Her Funeral will be held on Monday October 18, 2021 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday 4-7 p.m.
I had the privilege of knowing Margaret at a very turbulent time in her life, many years ago while Mario was a baby. Her strength was an inspiration to me!

Mario and family ~ I am so sorry for the loss of your Mom. I worked with her for years at Lechmere. Many Sunday afternoons we would go to Friendly’s for ice cream…you were very young and I’m not sure if you remember that. We would always do something fun on the weekends with you. She was such an amazing woman and will be missed by many.
Mario, I’m so sorry to hear of your moms passing. We had many laughs together at the football games. She had a great laugh and the best personality I always liked bumping into her and our talks. I hope you find peace in knowing how much she loved you and what you meant to her.

I used to see her a lot at the Red Carpet the Riverside hangout. She was a sweet lady with a smile always on her face. She will be missed by everyone. Rest in Peace Margaret.
I’m so sorry to her son for his loss you meant everything to your Mom, she use to light up talking about you and her grandchildren. I’m going to miss you Margaret so much, I still have my text messages from you and I just spoke to you last week and you always said you were ok and you never needed anything, you never complained, you were always so strong. My condolences to the family. I worked with Margaret for many years at Lechmere. She was a devoted mother and a kind person. I would run into her from time to time over the years and it was always a pleasure to chat with her and catch up. Peace to the family during this difficult time.

mario and family so sorry for the loss of your mom she was a nice lady she is with my sister now who passed on sept 26 her and my sister laughed a lot together at the store she worked

Dear Mario and Family, I am so very sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. Over the many years I’ve known Margaret, anytime I ran into her I was greeted with a smile and pleasant conversation. The last time I saw your mom was at Shaws with your girls. You could see the pride and love she had for those two little girls. I know she will be dearly missed but her spirit will live on in you all and help you to get through this difficult time. My condolences to you and your family.
