Coelho, Marie, D., 74, of Bridgham Street, died peacefully on January 14 at Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island, Providence, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in New Bedford, MA, the daughter of the late Albert and Philomena (Silva) Costa.

Mrs. Coelho had been employed as a nurse’s assistant at the Rhode Island Medical Center for many years before retiring. She enjoyed reading, going to the spa and to Foxwoods Casino.

She is survived by her devoted son, Stephen J. Coelho, daughter Josie Coelho, a stepson, ‘GeeGee’, a sister, Delores Bliss, 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, and her pets, Stacy, Sassy and Ice. She was the sister of the late Genevieve Yates.

Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 19 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to service on Thursday, January 19, 9:30 – 11:00 a.m.
