Hadzima, R.N., Marie, (Payton), 81, formerly of Barrington, died on June 27, 2016. She was the widow of Gerard E. Hadzima.

Born in Passaic, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Eva (Dube) Payton, Sr.

Marie was a graduate of Pope Pius XII High School, Passaic, NJ. She graduated from Jersey City Medical Center School of Nursing as a R.N. and later received a A.S. from the Community College of Rhode Island. She was a Registered Nurse at Rhode Island Hospital for over 25 years. After retiring from Rhode Island Hospital, Marie enjoyed working with the students at the St. Gregory the Great School, where she was a cafeteria attendant.

She is survived by her children, Marianne Hadzima and her husband Howard Williams III of Riverside; Thomas Hadzima and his wife Cindy of Ocala, FL; Eileen (Hadzima) Posgay and her husband John of Plantation, FL and Jane (Hadzima) Iodice and her husband Wayne of Rehoboth, MA; her grandchildren, Nicole and Jack Posgay of Plantation, FL and Mia and Dylan Iodice of Rehoboth, MA and a sister, Lorraine (Payton) McKee of Paterson, NJ. She was the sister of the late Martin J. Payton Jr.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday July 2, 2016 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Luke Church, Washington Road, Barrington at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
