Buzzi, Marie, ‘Hazel’, 86, formerly of Chapel Road, an amazing daughter, wife, mother, grandmother went to heaven on April 4, 2015. She was the wife of the late John Buzzi. Hazel, as she was affectionately known, was a gifted artist, community volunteer and teacher.

Born in Arlington, Massachusetts on May 14, 1928, she was the daughter of Marie Hazel and Marshall Wood. She graduated from Notre Dame Academy (where she was the first to illustrate their yearbook) and then continued her art career at the Mass College of Art.

As a young adult, she was elected the youngest President of the American Legion Auxiliary. She was President of the Bristol Elks for 12 years and graciously donated her artist talents for their National Conventions. An extra-ordinary passionate Red Sox fan, she cheered her beloved Red Sox team on for over 70 years. Her measurement of her success in life was simply measured in smiles.

Hazel leaves nine children, Marie Carreiro, Karen (Richard) McLaughlin, Kathy (Russell) Woodward, Debra (David) Wieners, James (Maria), Donna (Randy) Lee, MaryJo (Franklin) Osgood, Jon (Emilie) and Andrew (Dick).
