Moody, Marilyn A., (Leavitt), 83, of LaFayette Road, Barrington, died peacefully on December 26, 2020. She was the beloved wife of Paul E. Moody.

Born in Lowell, MA, a daughter of the late Thomas A. and Lillian A. (Morrow) Leavitt, she lived in Barrington for 50 years.

Mrs. Moody was a teacher for the Barrington School Department for seven years and the Coleman Eye Care Center for 23 years.

Marilyn was a graduate of the University of Massachusetts- Lowell Class of 1959 receiving a Bachelor’s Degree and Certificate in Elementary Education.

Marilyn was a communicant of St. Luke Church. She had a huge heart. Always one to give back, to her family, to her students and to her friends. She would beam with pride when asked about her family. She loved spending every summer on big family vacations and always hosting the family holidays. Marilyn was an amazing teacher, helping elementary students, children and adults with special learning challenges and people with visual or perceptual challenges. She was devoted to helping anyone she could. Marilyn loved looking for antiques and treasures for her home with her husband Paul, on their many weekend getaways. She took great pride in making their home a welcoming place for all. Marilyn loved with all her heart and was loved by all who knew her.

Besides her husband of 61 years, she is survived by two daughters, Kristann Moody of New Hampshire and Kathleen Moody of Barrington; a son, Paul E. Moody of Barrington, their spouses, Ellen Willis, Leslie Moody, Paul Spameni; four grandchildren, Paul III, James, Thomas and Lilyann, and one great granddaughter, Arabella. She was the sister of the late Barbara Leavitt Silva.

A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Luke Church, Washington, Road, Barrington followed by a private burial in Forest Chapel Cemetery, Nayatt Road, Barrington.

Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
