Costa, Marilyn E., ‘Lynne’, (Lister), 59, of Prescott Avenue, Riverside, died peacefully at home on May 11, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of David Costa.
Born in Providence, a daughter of Ann (Dwyer) Lister of Riverside and the late Howard Lister, she was a lifelong resident of Riverside.
Mrs. Costa was a Registered Nurse at Rhode Island Hospital for the past 37 years.
Lynne was a graduate of East Providence High School Class of 1975 and then went on to the University of Rhode Island receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Class of 1979.
Lynne was a communicant of St. Brendan Church. She enjoyed gardening, going to the beach and spending time with her loving family.
Besides her husband of 28 years and her mother, she is survived by two daughters, Audra Lynn Costa of Riverside and Rachel Elizabeth Costa of Riverside; a brother, Richard Lister of Virginia; two sisters, Maureen Crisafulli of Swansea, MA and Nancy Rehor of Prudence Island; two nephews and one niece.
Her funeral will be held on Monday May 15, 2017 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

I just found out about Lynn, a wonderful friend and nursing colleague. I met Lynn over 40 years ago as we were sorority sisters at DZ @ URI. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and she will always have a special place in my heart- Robi Crudale Blute
