Sylvia, Marilyn J., 79 of Waseca Avenue, Barrington, died peacefully on December 18, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Arthur J. Sylvia.
Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Herbert Bentley and Bessie (Pritchard) Garrott, she lived in Barrington since 1990 and also wintered in Ft. Pierce, Fl.
Mrs. Sylvia was an office manager for the former Standard Uniform Co. for 15 years before retiring in 1982.
Marilyn was a member of the Rainbow Alumni.
She is survived by a son, William R. Wood and his wife Jill of Riverside; a brother, Herbert Bentley of Coventry; two granddaughters, Cassandra and Erica Wood and two great-grandchildren, Elliot and Haven Wall.
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday December 22, 2108 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday 5-7 p.m.

William my deepest condolences to you and your family. Although I only knew her for a year and half I feel like it was a life time. I’m glad I had the opportunity of meeting and seeing her daily. Miss seeing my Red Sox lady.
