Ulbrych, Mary, E., (Melo), 82, of East Knowlton Street, Riverside, died peacefully on April 9, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Stanley J. Ulbrych.
Born in Faial, Azores, a daughter of the late Joseph and Eduima (Silva) Melo, she lived in Riverside for 48 years.
Mrs. Ulbrych was a housekeeper at the Hattie Ide Chaffee Nursing Home for over 20 years.
Mary was a member of the Sts. Matthew & Mark Episcopal Church, Barrington. She enjoyed gardening, making and sharing wine and loved and cared for her grandchildren.
Besides her husband of 48 years, she is survived by a daughter; Gloria Rose and her husband Steven A. Rose of Barrington, two sisters; Eva Gaspar of Riverside and Margaret Phillips of East Providence, four brothers; Charles and Joseph Melo, both of California, Manuel Melo of Florida and Antonio Melo of Warren and two grandchildren; Andrew and Ainsley Rose.
Her funeral will be held on Monday April 14, 2014 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 am with a Funeral Service in Sts. Matthew & Mark Episcopal Church, Chapel Road, Barrington at 10 am. Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Calling hours are Sunday 3-6 pm.
