Golden, Mary, (Flanagan), 81, of Dartmouth Avenue, Riverside, died peacefully on October 22, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Charles E. Golden Sr.

Born in Central Falls, a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Kennedy) Flanagan, she lived in Riverside for 54 years.

Mrs. Golden was a Professor of Business at CCRI for many years. She received her Bachelor of Science in Education from Bryant University and her Master’s Degree in Education from Providence College.

Mary was a communicant of St. Brendan Church and a member of the parish’s Forever Young Club. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Prayer Group and the Riverside AARP.

Besides her husband of 55 years, she is survived by a son, Charles E. Golden Jr. and his wife Deborah Anne (Ganzer) Golden of Lincoln; two grandsons, Jack Golden of Cumberland and Kevin Golden of Lincoln and a sister, Helen Flanagan Walsh of Riverside. She was the sister of the late Thomas J. Flanagan, Mary Frances Flanagan, Ann Nazareth and Mildred J. Flanagan.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday October 26, 2016 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

Calling hours are Tuesday 4-7 p.m. Flowers are respectfully omitted.
