LaSalle, Mary L., (Coyle), 96, of Shore Road, Riverside, died peacefully at home on February 12, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late William A. LaSalle.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Alexander and Sarah (Quinlan) Coyle, she lived in Riverside for 70 years.

Mrs. LaSalle was a communicant of St. Brendan Church. She enjoyed boating, camping and spending time with her loving family.

She is survived by three sons, William A. LaSalle Jr. of Riverside, Ronald J. LaSalle of Riverside and Eugene F. LaSalle of Riverside; a daughter, Suzanne M. Bannon of Riverside; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and one great great grandson. She was the sister of the late Frank and Walter Coyle. She was best friend of the late Betty Bird and Madeline Carter.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday February 17, 2022 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

Calling hours are Wednesday 5-8 p.m. Flowers are respectfully omitted. Contributions in Mary’s memory to Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI, 02904 would be deeply appreciated.

  9. I am so sorry for your loss. Mrs. LaSalle was the best! My “little” brother Jim and I enjoyed many times out on the boat with “the LaSalle’s”! She always brought us Wrigley’s gum! As kids, that was a huge deal. To this day when I see anything Wrigley’s I think of her! May you all have peace knowing she will rest with peace and be in our hearts forever! God bless!

  19. To the LaSalle family: I am so sorry for your families loss. What a wonderful lady she was, always so good to me. I loved how she embraced all of Sue’s friends like they were her own. I have great memories of being a teenager and hanging out at the house. May God Bless, rest easy Maryellen.

    You and Bill gave myself and my siblings so much. Our lives have many treasured memories of overnight and day boat trips on the Blue Fin. You both were exceptional neighbors. I thank your children also for sharing with us.

    You loved a day trip to Fort Adams with mom. The beach when we were little. Your Home made Fudge was awesome.

    I will miss you but know Bill, and Susie, your dad your brother, meet your mom . My mom and dad and Betty Bird what a great party you met.

    Rest in the company of the Saints Angels and Our Lord and His Mother.
