Bowen, Maryann, (Sauchelli), 78, formerly of Prescott Avenue, Riverside, died peacefully on June 4, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late William A. Bowen, former R.I. State Senator.

Born in Summit, NJ, a daughter of the late Anthony and Madeline (Albanese) Sauchelli, she lived in Riverside for 48 years.

Mrs. Bowen was a clerk for the Rhode Island Department of Health Vital Records for 15 years before retiring in 2002. She previously was a secretary for the United Truck & Bus Co. from 1977-1983.

Maryann enjoyed spending time with her loving family.

She is survived by three daughters, Ann McAree of Barrington, Susan Bowen of Pawtucket and Melisa Landry of East Providence and three grandchildren, Patrick McAree, Jennifer and Michael Landry.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday June 8, 2016 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 9:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Luke Church, Washington Road, Barrington at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
