Mike was a happy face, a gentleman and someone I considered my friend. He will be sadly missed. To the family we wish to extend our deepest sympathies. Mike and Lisa Eva
Wishing you strength and comfort during this difficult time and moments of peace and loving reflection of a life well lived. Mike was a quiet yet friendly man and a pleasure to work with. Sincerest condolences to the Blackmar family. .
I am saddened by the loss of Mike. We are both members of Local 6 Boston but I’ve known Mike since we were in Boy Scouts together and shared numerous adventures with him and his brothers. He was a good man who left us too soon.
We were saddened to learn of Michael’s sudden passing. We had enjoyed talking with him at a St. Brendan’s fish fry recently. Michael was an accomplished man and surely loved and admired by friends and family. Charlie and Rachel must have been very proud of him. May he rest in peace.
Mike, unfortunately we never met. I am sure that Ian is a chip of the old block, so I know that we would have got along well. My condolences to the entire Blackmar Family from across the pond.

My sincere condolences to the entire Blackmar family. Mike has been my friend since grade school… feels like my whole life. although i haven’t seen him in many years, he always stayed in touch. a true friend. he was with me for several rites of passage. he was there at the “tree” when i smoked my first cigarette – and he tried to get me not to light it. he said, “corny, if you light that, you won’t ever quit.” he was right. he lent me his car to get to the Irvine shows back in 87 – who does that? one time, he set the motorcycle speed record from Long Beach to Culver City to get me to work on time. he was truly a good man. he had a unique perspective, and was someone you could trust. one thing’s for sure, i know he’s out there lookin over us with a laugh, a smile and great love. Rest in Peace, brother. You will be missed.
My condolences too the family, Mike was always a pleasure to be around . God Bless You All . My Prayers are with you 🙏🏻
My condolences go out to the entire Blackmar family. Mike was a great man and friend. He will be very much missed by everyone. He always had a great joke or story that would make you smile. I can remember meeting him for the first time on the job site, we instantly hit it off. Rest in peace my friend.
Chrissy, I am so surprised and saddened to read of Mike’s passing. You and Mike have been such great neighbors to my brother Charlie ~ like family to him ~ and I will always treasure your kindness and generosity to him over the years. You were supportive of Charlie throughout his illness and, at his passing, supported me and mourned right along with me. Now, please know that I hold you and the family close in thought and prayer as you mourn. My guess is that Charlie greeted Mike “at the fence” in heaven’s driveway. May those happy memories, and so many others, comfort you in the days ahead.
To Michael’s whole family

Coast to Coast and back. I consider myself lucky and honored by his friendship. He was a great man from a great family.
A proud father, who was happy, fun, humble and kind.

How nice of a man was Mike Blackmar? I’ll tell you. My brother Jerry had a clamboil for the guys from work at his house where my mom was living. The first thing michael did when he got there was to go into the house and hand my mom a bouquet of flowers. We’ve never forgot that and never will.R.I.P. friend

I am so sorry for the loss of Michael. Always a nice guy. May he rest in peace and may all of your great memories of Michael console you.
I was friends with Mike in high school. He always had a smile on his face. He was a happy teen and always greeted everyone with a warm smile that made you feel welcome. I remember walking over the bridge with him the day his lost his best friend to the Barrington River. He was devastated and still so kind to everyone he came in contact with. Even through his pain. And looking back he was so young to have to experience that. What a great guy. I’m so sorry to hear of his passing and send condolences to his wife and children and all of his family. I know how great a loss this is.
Sorry for ur lost and I hope anyone is take it good because he in a betterplace now
Rip Blackie. What a great guy.
Sad news losing a fellow classmate and athlete. I only knew Michael from Jr High and High School. Will always remember him sharing his favorite song with me. James Taylor “Traffic Jam”. Wish I had the opportunity to know him beyond High School. RIP my old friend.
I have known Mike since 7th grade (1975). As a morning paperboy, Vienna bakery would give me free donuts and Mike would buy them from me (2 for 15 cents). I remember high school track, his time for 330 hurdles was impressive.
Later on when we were both in the trades we bumped into each other at Providence Journal and at church (St. Brendans). Such great memories camping with our kids in the early 90’s. After retiring, Mike and I would meet for coffee or breakfast. Mike was a sincere and big-hearted friend and I enjoyed his company. He would always call to see how I was doing. I will miss you Mike
See you on the other side Michael. RIP
So very sorry for your loss my deepest sympathies to you and your family

Michael I’m glad I had the chance to work a few times and know you, you were a true gentleman and pleasure to know!! Rest in peace brother!!
I did not have the privilege of knowing Michael in his adult life and that is my loss. I am told he was a wonderful, wonderful man. I am his older cousin & regularly babysat for the 4 Blackmar boys, whom I adored. Let me tell you, Michael was an adorable little rascal! Michael, I forgive you for never wanting to go to bed on my say so, for climbing out the window onto the roof (thankfully a neighbor reported it) and for giving me repeated frights jumping from the bannister! Michael loved to sit with me when I read him stories. I am so proud of the man you chose to be.
May White Wings surround and comfort all who love you, Michael, and most especially keep your kindness alive. May warm memories comfort your family in this incredible time of sorrow.
Much love,
Marcia Carlson

Whenever Mike called, texted, or mistakingly texted me, I knew we would be laughing for a while. Mike was a great friend and we will miss him very much. He was very proud of his children and their success. He was very proud to be a grandfather as he called me right away when Theodore was born. Mike was very happy sharing his life with Chrissy, as I know she made him very happy. Our condolences to his wife Chrissy, his brothers Lenny, Brian, Dean and the entire Blackmar family.
Brahhhh. I will miss our daily calls, even when there was nothing to talk about and we were just checking in. I will forever cherish our time spent together, I’m so happy it was plentiful. Our sneaky after work meetups for a couple beers, our weekend rides in the Porsches, our quick meetups for lunch to split a sandwich. Just so many good memories and that’s what’s keeping a smile on my face. Thank you for taking me to Europe and beginning my passion for travel. You were a wealth of knowledge, always so impressive. You taught Katelyn and I well and we will always look after each other. We promise that. I will see you in a while, until then please enjoy your time with grandma, papa, Victoria’s mom, Pete, Poppop and all the other people we so dearly miss down here. The 911 will get a million miles by the time I’m done with it. I love you Manny. I look forward to our next Coors Light together.
Mike was always a great guy and a gentleman. Working on and off with Mike for many years, we always had many laughs. This was such a shock, and our condolences go out to Mike’s family and brothers Lenny, Brian, and Dean.

Such an honorable, kind, loving man and father to my best friend, Katelyn. I had the pleasure of knowing “Miguel” (that’s what Kate and I always called him) since I we were children.
