Beirne, Michael, J., 51, of Woodside Avenue, died unexpectedly on March 21, 2016. He was the husband of Scott R. Connery.

Born in Fall River, MA, a beloved son of Lawrence T. and Louise M. (Pelissier) Beirne of Barrington, he lived in Pawtucket for 30 years and previously resided in Barrington.

Michael was a marketing assistant in the Marketing and Public Relations Department at Butler Hospital for the past 14 years.

Michael was a graduate of Bryant University Class of 1986. He was a member of Leadership Rhode Island. An artist, he enjoyed drawing, music and bike riding.

Besides his husband and parents, he is survived by two sisters, Michele P. Cross and her husband Russell of Barrington and Claudia L. Hoover and her husband Michael of Barrington; a brother, Matthew E. Beirne and his partner Sean Fitzgibbons of Van Nuys, CA; nieces and nephews, Rachael Cross, Patrick and Sydney Hoover and Christopher Connery; his godchild, Nikki Lee Beirne; his mother-in-law, Rita Connery and a sister-in-law, Cheryl Straus. He was the brother of the late David L. Beirne.

His funeral will be held on Monday March 28, 2016 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Luke Church, Washington Road, Barrington at 10 a.m.
