Duane, Michael, J., Sr., 69, of Foote Street, died on March 30, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Diane E. (Cioe) Duane.

Born in Warwick, a son of the late James X. and Leah D. (Jubinville) Duane, he lived in Barrington for 30 years.

Mr. Duane was a supervisor for the Mahr Federal Inc. for 40 years.

Michael was a member of the Barrington American Legion Post #8.

Mr. Duane was a United States Navy Veteran serving on the U.S.S. Sea Owl submarine.

Besides his wife of 20 years, he is survived by two sons; Michael J. Duane Jr. and his wife Jamie of Scituate and Mark W. Duane and his wife Johna of West Warwick and three grandsons; Matthew, Joseph and Keegan. He was the brother of the late Alan P. Duane.

His funeral will be private. Burial with Military Honors will be held in Santa Maria del Campo Cemetery. Contributions in Michael’s memory to The American Cancer Society, 931 Jefferson Blvd., Warwick, RI, 02886 would be deeply appreciated.
