Kean, Michael J., 51, formerly of Barrington, died unexpectedly on June 13, 2017.

Born in Providence, a son of Ann (Iasa) Stopfel of Barrington and the late Joseph Kean, he lived in Barrington and Pawtucket for many years.

Mr. Kean was a fire fighter for the Pawtucket Fire Department for 26 years before retiring in 2012. He enjoyed golfing.

Besides his mother, he is survived by a sister, Kathleen Schafer and her husband Dr. Ted Schafer of Coronado, CA; a nephew, Owen Schafer and a niece, Amy Schafer.

His funeral service will be held on Tuesday June 20, 2017 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 12 noon. Calling hours are Tuesday morning 11 a.m. – 12 noon. Burial will follow in Mont St. Mary’s Cemetery, Pawtucket. Flowers are respectfully omitted.
