Michael W. Sweeney, 78, of Shore Road, Riverside, passed away unexpectedly at his home on August 3, 2025. He was the beloved husband of the late Lillian W. (Palmer) Sweeney.

A proud United States Army Veteran, Mr. Sweeney honorably served his country during the Vietnam Era. Following his military service, he worked for many years as a dedicated truck driver for Munroe Dairy.

Michael will be remembered for his quiet strength, hard work, and commitment to those he loved.

He is survived by three children, William John Sweeney, Christy Marie Sweeney and Mark Sweeney.

Burial will be held on Thursday September 4, 2025 at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 2 p.m.
