Michael W. Zarzycki, 69, of Brook Avenue, Riverside, died unexpectedly on December 30, 2024 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Pamela J. (Coons) Zarzycki.
Born in Niskayuna, NY, a son of the late William and Eileen (Niland) Zarzycki, he lived in Riverside for 26 years.
Michael graduated from Johnson & Wales University Class of 1996 with a bachelor’s degree.
Mr. Zarzycki was a Hospitality Manager at the Hilton Hotel, Providence before retiring in 2019.
Michael was a Thoroughbred Horse owner. He enjoyed hunting, fly fishing, and fly tying. He enjoyed spending time with his loving family and friends.
Besides his wife of 31 years, he is survived by two brothers, Donald J. Zarzycki and his wife Sue of Saratoga, NY and William C. Zarzycki and his wife Sharon of Schenectady, NY; a sister, Carolyn Drooby and her husband Mark of Guilderland, NY; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and his devoted cat Magic.
Calling Hours will be held on Saturday January 18, 2025 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside from 1-3 p.m. Flowers are respectfully omitted. Contributions in Michael’s memory to the RISPCA, 155 Plan Way, Warwick, RI 02886 would be deeply appreciated.
I am so sad to hear this news . Michael was always so friendly and made everyone laugh. No matter how long it has been since I would see the two of you you both were always as welcoming and friendly as always. He will be missed by so many. My condolences Pam!
