Dodd, Muriel T., 85, of Walnut Road, died peacefully December 27, 2009 at Orchard View Manor.

Born in Central Falls, a daughter of the late Patrick and Mary (Deignan) Elwood, she lived in Barrington for 24 years.

Mrs. Dodd was a nurse at the St. Joseph Hospital Emergency Room, Providence, for 35 years before retiring in 1984.

Muriel was a communicant of St. Luke Church. She was a member of the Barrington Women’s Club and enjoyed golfing, bridge and bowling.

She is survived by a daughter; Mary E. Piccerelli and her husband Joseph of Barrington, two sons; William P. Dodd and his wife Karen of West Warwick and Terrence M. Dodd and his wife Joanne of North Smithfield, twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday December 31, 2009 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Luke Church, Washington Road, Barrington at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery.
