Norma Batastini

Date of Passing:

November 28, 2025

Norma Batastini, 92, of Walker Street, Pawtucket, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2025, at the Lincolnwood Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in North Providence.

Born in Pawtucket, the daughter of the late Albert and Bianca (Guintini) Batastini, Norma made her home in the city she loved for nearly her entire life.

A loving homemaker, Norma found delight in photography and in designing her cherished yearly calendars, each one a reflection of her eye for beauty and her thoughtful spirit. She enjoyed long walks through her neighborhood.

Norma’s greatest devotion, however, was to the many stray cats that crossed her path. She worked tirelessly to care for them—arranging for them to be spayed or neutered, offering them safety, and doing all she could to find them loving homes. Her compassion for animals was a true expression of her generous heart.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Lynn Schifino, Donna Reilly, Janis Paterson, Paul Batastini, Pam Britt and Mike Britt, all of whom cherished her presence in their lives. Norma was the sister of the late Ginna Schifino, Mae Britt, and Arman Batastini.

Norma will be remembered for her gentle kindness, her artistic spirit, and her unwavering care for all living creatures—especially those without a voice. May she rest in peace.

Her funeral will be private. Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
