Gagnon, Norman E., 94, of Rogers Avenue, Barrington, died peacefully at home on July 26, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Edythe I. (Biddle) Gagnon.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Joseph A. and Helen I. (Godin) Gagnon, he lived in Barrington since 1950 and wintered in Naples, FL for 28 years.

Mr. Gagnon was a Manager for the former New England Telephone Co. for 32 years before retiring in 1990.

Norman was a communicant of St. Luke’s Church. He was a member of the Riverside American Legion Post # 10.

Mr. Gagnon was a United States Army Veteran.

Besides his wife of 71 years, he is survived by three daughters, Cynthia Giron of Miami, FL, Pamela Baird of Plymouth Meeting, PA and Denise Alves of Barrington; a son, Stephen Gagnon of Attleboro, MA; fourteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Joseph Gagnon, Dolores Gorman and Gloria Slater.

His funeral service will be held on Saturday July 30, 2022 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 12 noon. Calling hours are Saturday morning 11 a.m.-12 noon.

  1. My heartfelt sympathy to members of the Gagnon family. Norm was a true patriot whom I enjoyed many a conversation with. Those talks generally took place between his cheers and instructions to Steve during one of his baseball games.May you all cherish your own fond memories of Norm during these difficult moments.
