Lusignan, Norman, R., 71, of Barney Street, Rumford, died peacefully on January 28, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Barbara M. (Bryne) Lusignan.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Leo A. and Laura (Picard) Lusignan, he lived in Rumford for 44 years.

Mr. Lusignan was a Union Carpenter for Local #94 for 50 years before retiring in 1993.

Norman was a communicant of St. Brendan Church. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, camping, playing cards and spending time with his loving family. He was a devoted Boston Red Sox fan.

Besides his wife of 49 years, he is survived by two daughters, Jacqueline A. McKnight and her husband Michael of Amherst, NH and Susan Lusignan and her husband James Perry of North Smithfield; a son, William L. Lusignan and his partner Thomas Willis of Warwick; five grandchildren, Aly, Patrick and Meghan McKnight and Abigail and Grayson Perry; a brother, Ernie Lusignan of Riverside and 27 nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Doris Bassett, Alma Wall, Leo, Robert, Walter, Albert, Paul and Arthur Lusignan.

His funeral will be held on Saturday January 31, 2015 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Mary’s Cemetery, Pawtucket. Calling hours are Friday 5-8 p.m.
