Meehan, Paul M., 61, of, Riverside Drive, Riverside Terrace, died peacefully on November 11, 2020. He was the beloved husband of the late Kathleen (McSoley) Meehan.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Hubert T. and Doris B. (Hagenberg) Meehan, he was a lifelong resident of Riverside.

Mr. Meehan was a burner service technician for Santoro Oil Company, Providence for 15 years.

Paul was a communicant of St. Brendan Church. He was a former coach and umpire for the Riverside Little League and former coach for the Riverside Pop Warner Football team. He was a member and former treasurer of the West Barrington Men’s Club.

Paul especially enjoyed sharing a daily cup of coffee with his friends.

He is survived by a son, John P. Meehan and his wife Kassandra of Warwick; a brother, John J. Meehan and his wife Mary of Warwick; two grandchildren, Kylie and Maddison Meehan and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside on Friday November 27, 2020 at 10 a.m. Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted. Burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery will be private.

  2. John and family, I coached with Paul many years ago in Riverside Little League. Such a good guy, funny helpful, smart. I always enjoyed my time with him. Later on, I would connect with him over the laundromat next to Shaws and I’d catch up on how John and his family were doing. I’m glad to have known him and sad that he’s gone. Please accept my most sincere condolences.
