Ellis, Pearl, E., 82, formerly of Crescent View Avenue, Riverside, died peacefully on November 28, 2011 at the Evergreen House Health Center. She was the wife of the late John E. Ellis.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Stephen and Eleanor (Spitznagel) Hicks, she lived in Riverside for 40 years.

Mrs. Ellis enjoyed crafts and spending time with her family.

She is survived by two daughters; Linda Ellis Poland of Riverside and Jane Ellis Pesaturo of Riverside, two sons; John E. Ellis Jr. of FL and Daniel W. Ellis of WV, two sisters; Joan Seddon of NJ and Anna Ellis of Maine, a brother; Herbert Hicks of Coventry, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Stephen P. Hicks and Arther W. Hicks.

Her funeral service will be held on Friday December 2, 2011 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 11 am. Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Calling hours are Friday morning 9:30-11 am.
