Kennedy, Peter, J., 50, of Dewey Avenue, died unexpectedly on June 12, 2013. He was the former husband of Rebekah (Butterworth) Arruda.

A lifelong resident of East Providence he was the son of William J. Kennedy of Riverside and Marilyn B. (Stillman) Charleson of Exeter.

Mr. Kennedy was a Master Electrician in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut for the past 20 years.

Peter played the guitar and was a member of the The No Ambition Band. He was a devoted Boston Red Sox and Dallas Cowboys fan. He enjoyed spending time with his faithful dog Shelby.

Besides his parents, he is survived by a brother; John F. Kennedy of Riverside, two sisters; Laura Lee Souza of Rumford and Kathleen M. Hemphill of Exeter and several nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held on Monday June 17, 2013 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 10 am. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday 3-6 pm.
