Peter J. Natale

Date of Passing:

October 4, 2025

Peter J. Natale, 62, of Middle Highway, Barrington, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, October 4, 2025.

Born in Providence, Peter was the beloved son of the late Anthony A. and Mary T. (Scattino) Natale and a lifelong resident of Barrington—a community he loved deeply and served with quiet dedication.

For 36 years, Peter worked as an Equipment Operator for the Town of Barrington, retiring in 2022. He was known among his colleagues for his strong work ethic, reliability, and pride in a job well done. His service was not just a career—it was a contribution to the town he cherished.

A graduate of Barrington High School, Peter was a faithful communicant of Holy Angels Church and an active member of the Barrington Democratic Club. He believed in the strength of community and valued civic involvement.

A sports enthusiast, he was an avid fan of both football and golf, finding joy in cheering on his favorite teams. He enjoyed his garden, nurturing it with the same care and attention he gave to the people around him. He also had a lifelong love for classic cars, appreciating their beauty, craftsmanship, and the memories they carried.

Peter is survived by his devoted sister, Mary E. Natale of Barrington; his loving companion, Diane Raposa of Riverside; and many cherished aunts, uncles, and cousins who will remember him for his kindness, loyalty, and quiet strength.

Peter will be remembered not only for the life he lived, but for the love he gave so generously to those around him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will remain a part of the town and people he held so dear.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday October 9, 2025 at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Church, Maple Avenue, Barrington. A Private Burial will be held in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted. Contributions in Peter’s memory to the Barrington Democratic Club, 186 Roffee Street, Barrington, RI, 02806 would be deeply appreciated.
