Cardente, Ralph, 84, of South Lake Drive, died unexpectedly on June 14, 2011. He was the beloved husband of Maryann (Martin) Cardente.

Born in Barrington, a son of the late Caesar and Philomena (Mancini) Cardente, he was a lifelong resident of Barrington.

Mr. Cardente was a self-employed contractor for 40 years before retiring in 1991. He was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.

A sports enthusiast, Ralph enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Besides his wife of 57 years, he survived by two sons Steven Cardente and Ralph Cardente, both of Barrington, a daughter; Joyce Ann Cardente of Barrington, a sister; Lucy Bisbano of Barrington, a brother; Charles Cardente of Barrington, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Angie Raneri, Rose Volpe, Mary DiSalvo, Vera Abate, Lillian VanCougyhen, Elsie Pasqua and Nicholas Cardente.

His funeral will be held on Friday June 17, 2011 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Angel Church, Maple Avenue, Barrington at 10 am. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Santa Maria del Campo Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday morning 8-9 am.
