Pizzo, Ralph, E., 90, of East Bay Manor, Wampanoag Trail, Riverside, died peacefully on January 10, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Albina M. ‘Dolly’ (Walsh) Pizzo.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Pelligrino and Biasina (Ranallo) Pizzo, he lived in Riverside 58 years.

Mr. Pizzo was an equipment installer for the former New England Telephone & Telegraph Co. for 33 years before retiring in 1986.

Ralph was a communicant of St. Brendan Church. He was a member of the East Providence Knights of Columbus Council #1528 and the Telephone Pioneers of America.

Mr. Pizzo was a United States Coast Guard Veteran serving during World War II.

Besides his wife of 66 years, he is survived by a daughter; Joan M. Hobbs and her husband Walter of Lincoln, a brother; William C. Pizzo of Willis Beach, ME, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a son-in-law; Stephen Allienello of East Providence. He was the father of the late Janice E. Allienello and brother of the late Celia McTague, Mina Cull, Vincenza Gonelli, Bessie Dalley, Marie Stone, Paul, Joseph, Anthony, Salvatore and Frank Pizzo.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday January 15, 2014 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 10 am. Graveside burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday 4-8 pm. Flowers are respectfully omitted.
