Playe, Raymond A. Sr., 81, formerly of Willett Avenue, Riverside, died peacefully on May 29, 2023 at Rhode Island Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Janet F. (LaRoche) Playe.

Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Rene H. and Anita E. (Deslauriers) Playe, he lived in Bristol for the past year, previously residing in Riverside for 44 years.

Mr. Playe was employed in the Jewelry Display Industry for over 40 years.

Raymond was a member of the Abundant Life Church, Swansea.

Mr. Playe was a United States Air Force Veteran serving during the Vietnam Era.

He was a mechanic, model train enthusiast and enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, playing board games, watching movies, go-carts, bowling, playing pool and listening to Elvis Presley music.

Besides his wife of fifty five years, he is survived by two sons, Raymond Albert Playe Jr. and his wife Marae of East Providence and Michael Edward Playe and his wife Marcie of Riverside and three grandchildren, Kasey Alexis Playe, Ryan Michael Playe and Daniel Christopher Playe. He was the brother of the late Rene G. Playe and Paul E. Playe.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Saturday June 3, 2023 at 11 a.m. in the Abundant Life Church, 135 New Meadow Road, Swansea, MA.
