Gagnon, Raymond, G., 93, of Lantern Lane, Riverside, died peacefully on July 7, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Barbara P. (McAteer) Gagnon.

Born in Taunton, MA, a son of the late Joseph and Anna (Paquin) Gagnon, he lived in Riverside for 58 years.

Mr. Gagnon was the Chief Veteran’s Service Officer at the United States Veteran’s Administration in Providence for 43 years before retiring in 1984.

Raymond was a communicant of St. Brendan Church. He was a member of the Riverside Bishop Hickey Knights of Columbus and the International Order of Alhambra.

Mr. Gagnon was a United States Army Veteran serving during World War II.

Besides his wife of 61 years, he is survived by four sons, Thomas R. Gagnon and his wife Susan of Riverside, Robert G. Gagnon and his wife Leslie of Riverside, Michael J. Gagnon of Riverside and Paul A. Gagnon of Barrington; a sister, Irene Green of Clearwater, FL; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Gertrude Bouchard, Paul and Lawrence Gagnon.

His funeral will be held on Saturday July 11, 2015 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 10 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
