Durand, Raymond, J., Jr., 47, of Earl Avenue, Riverside, died unexpectedly on March 11, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Pamela E. (Fleck) Durand.

Born in Newport, a son of Raymond J. Durand Sr. of Riverside and Pennie L. (Harper) Durand of Newport, he lived in Riverside for 24 years.

Mr. Durand was a mechanic for Fred’s Auto Service for the past 13 years. He was a member of the American Pool Association and was an avid junk collector. He enjoyed playing pool, playing cards and spending time with his loving family.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Tyeler J. Durand, Alexander W. Durand, Graciee L. Durand, Alannah M. Durand and Renee E. Durand, all of Riverside; three brothers, Thomas Durand of Cranston, Adam Durand of Bristol and Kenneth Durand of Newport; a sister, Chahlynn Monast of Riverside and several nieces and nephews.

His funeral service will be held on Thursday March 17, 2016 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 9 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday 4-8 p.m.
