Raymond V. Plante

Plante, Raymond, V., 81, of Church Street, died unexpectedly on Saturday December 29, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Carol S. (DeAngelis) Plante.

Born in Warren, a son of the late Wilfred and Eva (Forrest) Plante, he lived in Barrington since 1988 previously residing in Warren for 7 years.

Mr. Plante was a wire inspector for the former Triangle Wire Co., Pawtucket for 25 years before retiring in 1996. He was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.

Raymond was a communicant of Holy Angels Church. He was a member of the Bristol V.F.W. Post #237 and the Bristol Cup Defenders Association. He enjoyed quahogging on Narragansett Bay.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three step-sons; Gary, Stephen and David Benedetti, two sisters; Alice Marchand and Irene Mello and a brother; Wilfred Plante. He was the brother of the late Terry Kation, Doris Ramos, Albert, Robert, Leo and Arthur Plante.

His funeral will be held on Thursday January 3, 2013 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Angels Church, Maple Avenue, Barrington at 10 am. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday 6-8 pm. Flowers are respectfully omitted.
