LaFayette, Regina, M., 93, of Rumford Towers, Newman Avenue, Rumford, died unexpectedly on December 7, 2011. She was the wife of the late Leo LaFayette.

Born in Fort Kent, ME, a daughter of the late Onesine and Edith (Vallencourt) Ouellette, she lived in Rumford for 4 years previously residing in Riverside and Lewiston, ME.

Regina was a waitress for Jimmy’s Dinner in Lewiston, ME for 7 years. She also was a bench solderer for the former Martin-Copeland for 8 years before retiring in 1983.

Mrs. LaFayette was a communicant of St. Margaret Church. She was active in St. Charles Borromeo Church, where she was a member of Our Lady Blessed Mothers Group Prayer Society.

She is survived by two sons; Richard L. LaFayette of Rumford and Larry G. LaFayette of Germany, two sisters; Berdina Roy of Riverside and Arlene Bolduc of Rumford, two brothers; Normand Ouellette of Rumford and Jean Ouellette of Riverside and three grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Ida Dumont, Anna Michaud, Alphena Plourd, Bernice, Ann Marie and Joseph Ouellette.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday December 10, 2011 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret Church, Pawtucket Avenue, Rumford at 10 am. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday 4-7 pm.
