Rhoda V. (Munro) Smith, 91, of Beverly Road, Riverside, passed away unexpectedly on August 26, 2025, at the Miriam Hospital in Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Earl R. Smith, with whom she shared a life of love, dedication, and quiet strength.

Born in Providence, Rhoda was the cherished daughter of the late Harry and Helen (Hall) Munro. A proud and devoted resident of Riverside for over 70 years, she became a familiar and beloved presence in the community she called home.

Rhoda worked as an assembler for the former Rhode Island Lace Works in Barrington for eight years, where her attention to detail and steady hands reflected her commitment to quality and hard work. But it was her life beyond the workplace that truly defined her.

She was a devoted member of the Barrington YMCA for 40 years, where she fostered friendships and community through her active involvement. As a Barrington Home Den mother, she nurtured and supported local children with her steady presence and loving care.

Creative and full of life, Rhoda found joy in crafting and brought a spirited energy to the Monday Night Originals Bowling League, where she was a proud and enthusiastic member. Her hobbies were expressions of her joy for life and her deep appreciation for the simple pleasures of time spent with others.

She leaves behind her beloved son, James R. Smith of Riverside a granddaughter, Kimberley Anne Smith of Pawtucket and a great-great granddaughter, Abigail.

Rhoda’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, a testament to a life well-lived and deeply loved.
