Flynn, Richard, A., of Coventry and Prudence Island, RI, died unexpectedly at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence on August 8, 2015.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Eugene E. and Roberta G. (Fitton) Flynn, he lived in Coventry for five years.
Survived and missed by his brother, Lawrence E. Flynn (Laurie) of East Providence; sisters, Kathleen F. Hannigan of Florida and Roberta F. Smith (Brian); plus 3 nieces and 2 nephews.
Mr. Flynn served in the United States Marine Corps from 1975-1979. Always a Marine, he was a fierce advocate for veterans.
He loved music, politics and his friends and family.
A committal service will be held in the Rhode Island Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Exeter on Wednesday August 26, 2015 at 11 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will follow.
