Coffey, Richard “Jr”., 62, of Anoka Avenue, Barrington, died peacefully on May 28, 2024 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Ann T. (Longo) Coffey.

Born in Hudson, MA, a son of the late John and Janet (Concannon) Coffey, he was a lifelong resident of Barrington.

Richard was a graduate of Barrington High School Class of 1979.

Mr. Coffey was the owner-operator of Complete Landscaping Services for over 20 years.

Richard was a member of the Barrington Democratic Club.

He was a sports enthusiast and die-hard Red Sox, Celtics, Bruins, Patriots and Raiders fan and enjoyed spending time with his loving family as well as his young friends Brayden & Gabby.

Jr always made time to help anyone in need, always willing to help his large and ever-expanding circle of friends.

Besides his wife of 28 years, he is survived by three daughters, Molly R. Coffey, Erin J. Coffey and Sara N. Coffey all of Barrington; his siblings, Mary R. Greene of Barrington, James M. Coffey and his wife Rosemarie of Barrington, John F. Coffey and his wife Mary Jane of Barrington and Joanne M. Kovich and her husband Vic of Barrington; several nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews and his devoted dog Princess and cat Patches.

His Funeral Service will be held on Saturday June 8, 2024 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 3 p.m.

Calling Hours are Saturday from 1-3 p.m. Flowers are respectfully omitted.

A Celebration his Life will be held immediately following the Funeral Service at the Warren Portuguese American Club, 112 Arlington Avenue, Warren. Contributions in Richard’s memory to the American Diabetes Association, P. O Box 7023 Merrifield, VA 22116-7023 would be deeply appreciated.
