Richard J. Kenney, 62, of Rehoboth, MA, died unexpectedly on April 9, 2025.

Born in Providence, a son of Shirley (Robillard) Kenney of Rehoboth, MA and the late Raymond J. Kenney, he lived in Rehoboth, MA for several years.

Mr. Kenney was the Owner & Operator of the Ray Kenney Landscaping Service.

Richard was an exquisite gardener with devoted attention to details in his organic vegetable garden. He enjoyed reading, woodworking and fishing.

Besides his mother, he is survived by a sister, Cheryl Kenney and her husband James Ricci of Bristol and a nephew, Jonathan Kenney of Millis, MA. He was the brother of the late Raymond Kenney and Colleen Kenney.

His Funeral Service will be held in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside on Saturday April 26, 2025 at 5 p.m. Calling hours are Saturday afternoon 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. A private burial will be held in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

  3. April 24, 2025. Richard was a good friend of mine. We lived in Fort Lauderdale Florida Coral Springs Florida. We built houses together down there in Boca Raton Florida. We work together on the Sawgrass Expressway which is a toll road. We built the stairs going down from the boost into the tunnels. I never forget you good buddy rest in peace.
