Falaguerra, Rita L. (Fontes), 87, of Sea View Avenue, Riverside Terrace, Riverside, died peacefully on October 3, 2021 at the Roberts Health Centre, North Kingstown. She was the beloved wife of Ralph G. Falaguerra.

Born in East Providence, a daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (Lewis) Fontes, she lived in Riverside since 1959.

Mrs. Falaguerra was a communicant of St. Brendan Church.

Besides her husband of sixty six years, she is survived by three sons, Michael A. Falaguerra of Southbury, CT, David J. Falaguerra and his wife Kathleen of Warwick and Christopher T. Falaguerra and his partner Steven Deell of Riverside; two daughters, Anna M. Melanson of Cumberland and Andrea L. Falaguerra and her wife Lori Hopkins of Barrington; a sister, Lucille Boutin of Lanesborough, MA; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Mary Smithers and Sally Clement.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside on Thursday October 7, 2021 at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.

    So sorry for your loss. I will cherish memories i have of Auntie Rita. She was always so happy watching the water and the boats going by. Take comfort in knowing that she is at peace
