Robert Anthony Silva “Bobby”, 69, of Newport Avenue, Pawtucket died unexpectedly on Thursday, March 29, 2018.

He was the beloved husband of Dawne A. (Elliott) Silva. They Would have celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on April 28th.

“Bobby “, as he was so affectionately known, lived in East Providence on City View Avenue , for 37 Years before moving to Pawtucket.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Manuel P. and Rose G. (Oliver) Silva.

He served his country honorably in the United States Army.

He was a shipping supervisor for the former Royal Packing Co. for 25 years, before retiring in 2011.

Bobby was a kind and generous person.He had a real gentle way. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially
his grandchildren. He also enjoyed bowling, fishing, traveling and computer games.

Besides his beloved wife, he is survived by his children, Robert M. Silva and his wife Kisten of Pawtucket, Brandon E. Silva of Rumford, Elizabeth R. Medeiros and her husband Sean of Swansea, MA and Lauren D. Grover and her husband Ronald of Pawtucket, a sister, Elizabeth A. Baptista of East Providence, grandchildren, Madyson and Logan Medeiros, Christian, Jamison, Cameron, and Alexa Grover, Alex, Jack and Aubrey
Silva, and several nieces, nephews, grand, nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held on Thursday,April 5, 2018 from the W.RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at7:45 a.m., with a Mass of Christian Burial in St Francis of Assisi Church530 Gardners Neck Road, Swansea, MA at 10 a.m. Burial with Military Honors Will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday 4-7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations to honor Bobby ‘s memory may be made to The Autism Project, 1516 Atwood Avenue, Johnston, RI 02919.

  1. My condolences to everyone. He was a great man. All those years growing up with lots of time at your house with Lauren he always treated me like one of the family.

  2. How can words describe how lucky I’ve been to make the acquaintance of Mr. Silva. He had the most comfortable presents to be around. Bobby was so authentic and I believe and faithful to all that knew him. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers. May the Lord bless you all in this time of sorrow.
